Urgent appeal: Salinger has lost his tail but not his spirit
We’ll never know what happened to Salinger’s tail, only that he was found wandering, alone and injured. This friendly orange cat, estimated to be about a year-and-a-half-old, was brought to us by a Good Samaritan.
Poor Salinger’s tail had been very badly damaged, yet he never stopped purring.
Salinger was immediately examined by a veterinarian, who determined his tail injury had progressed too far for successful treatment. To give him the best outcome possible, the veterinarian recommended amputating his tail.
Salinger came through the surgery in good health and is adapting well. He’s receiving love and care as he heals and will soon be ready to find his loving forever home.
Recoveries like this would not be possible without the caring support from community members like you.
Any gifts received beyond our fundraising goal will be used to help other animals like Salinger in urgent need of care.
