Hiya! I’m Kristina, and as you may know animals are a cause I am very passionate about!
A little About Me
I grew up loving and "saving" all the animals I could, sometimes even the ones that didn't need saving, but they all ended up back where they belonged. I was a avid horseback rider and had many pets throughout my life, a lab, coonhound, and a mixed breed, plus many cats. I worked at a wonderful vet clinic throughout my 20's, and got to learn the medical side of animal care, and met some pretty amazing people, both staff and clients, while I was there. I
currently have a 9 year old son, who loves and respects animals, a mush of a husband that likes to say "NO MORE PETS" until the pet comes home and then he loves them so much and 3 dogs, Ruby, Triple and Chilly. In 2019 I decided to try agility with my dogs, I am now a part of a wonderful agility team with an amazing trainer and teammates who share the same passion, compassion and care for animals as I do! I am learning, having fun, staying active and keeping my dogs mentally and physically fit! Agility is the best thing I have ever done for my dogs, and myself.
A Little About My Dogs
Chilly is my senior Jack Russell Terrier whom I adopted from the OSPCA when she was just a puppy. She came from a terrible situation but thankfully was rescued by the OSPCA and they choose me to have her!
Ruby is a terrier type mix, we adopted her from a shelter in Indiana after she was found roaming the streets as a baby. Ruby has dabbled in dock diving, agility and lure coursing, earning ribbons and titles, but she is most talented at a adored household pet, and best friend to my 9 year old son.
Triple is a Border Collie, he is smart, loyal, thoughtful and fast. We train for agility and play with dock diving. Triple and I just started competing in agility last year and are having so much fun! This year, hopefully, Triple and I will get to compete in our first regionals agility event!
The SPCA is doing its annual Sweat For Pets fundraiser and I thought it is such a wonderful initiative! Encouraging people to get active with their pets AND raise money for a good cause!
I am a firm believer in keeping active with your pets, wether it’s through sports or regular exercise, I feel it’s the best way to have the best relationship with your pet!
I understand that not everyone is able to donate, and that is OK! Maybe you could set up your own page and try to raise money for the SPCA and encourage people to get active with their pets!!!
If you can, I hope you will support me in reaching my fundraising goal, by making a donation here on my page. (There are also fun prizes I can win!!)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and hopefully we can all work together to help the pets whose lives have taken an unexpected turn!!!
